If you have many products syncing at the same time on your Shopify store it could happen to face an error like this

Platform communication error: Exceeded 2 calls per second for api client. Reduce request rates to resume uninterrupted service.

This Shopify error is due to a limitation on API calls that Shopify apply to all standard shop and that you can read on their documentation here

Only Shopify Plus has an higher rate limit that permits you to make up to 4 requests per second.
